Step one:

WHAT TYPE OF ATHLETE ARE YOU?

Clearly identifying your purpose is the first step you must make before selecting a training program, we find that there are 4 major types of training purposes and each is described below. You will need to identify which of these categories you fall into. 

Profession Driven

Military, Law Enforcement, and First Responders are required by their respective organizations to pass physical fitness assessments not only during the hiring process but for continued employment and advancement in their careers.

Sport Driven

Each sport has certain physical attributes that need to be developed to maximize performance. For athletes that desire to be as successful as possible they will need to dedicate training time prior to their season to develop these attributes.

Assessment Driven

For athletes that do not have a sport or profession driven training purpose we suggest using an assessment to determine what type of training they should pursue. Taking a comprehensive, multiple attribute, physical assessment will let the athlete know which attributes are underdeveloped and where gaps in their fitness lie.

Preference Driven

This final category is for those that simply want to improve upon certain attributes for their own personal reasons. They may not have an inclination to be well rounded, or simply enjoy certain types of training more than others.
