Your First Visit

The best way to understand what Atomic is all about is to swing by the gym and train with us. A first timer visit is $20 and allows you to train with one of our group classes led by one of our owners. Before the session you'll get a walk through of the facility and get a chance to talk about the community, coaching, and programming. If you end up joining the gym your $20 will apply towards your first month!

Coaching: Think poor form is just a rite of passage? Wrong. We’ve got dedicated coaches by your side, ensuring you stay safe, healthy, and on track with form and technique. They’re pros, so you’re in solid hands.

Short answer? Hell yea!

Atomic Athlete is inclusive and has female coaches on staff. We know trying something new can be intimidating, but you’ll find plenty of support and encouragement here.

Weights like dumbbells, kettlebells and barbells are regular characters in our programming. That said, unlike CrossFit with the concept of “prescribed” loading, Atomic takes a more athlete-driven approach – i.e. you get to decide whether to lift heavy and get big, or lift light for tone, resilience, and mobility. 

You bet your ass! You’ll train alongside a diverse crew—from complete beginners to seasoned athletes. At Atomic, it’s about testing your limits both physically and mentally, and we’re all better when we tackle the hard stuff together. No matter where you’re starting from, you’ll find a place here.

Our group sessions last an hour starting with a coach-led, session-specific warm-up. From there, the Coach will break down the workout covering the purpose, how you’re meant to progress from previous sessions, cover correct movement and form, help you understand where to push and where to recover, etc. 

Our Coaches remain active throughout class, keeping an eye on our athletes and giving encouragement, coaching, and correction along the way. Afterward, athletes are invited to stick around for some extra stretching, foam rolling, or take a cold plunge if that’s your thing!

Must-Haves: Training clothes, shoes, water bottle

Nice-to-Haves: Sweat towel, lifting shoes, weight belt, clean trunks/towel for the plunge, and toiletries if you’re showering up after

Out-of-town athletes are always welcome for a $25 drop-in fee. Plan to show up ~10 minutes early for a quick check-in and lay of the land. Drop in athletes get access to all our amenities: cold plunge, showers, and co-working space. No registration needed—just show up ready to sweat!

Absolutely. Our coaches will get you up to speed without missing a beat. 

Short answer? It depends!

Generally, we recommend you train at least 3 days a week, schedule allowing. Most of our regulars train 5 days a week. If you’re unsure, just grab a coach to talk things through.

Look, we get it—CrossFit has its appeal, but here’s where we stand out:

Structured Programs: Unlike CrossFit’s random workouts, we run 4 – 6 week programs with a specific focus. Each session and week build on the previous and we have coached, progressive-based sessions available 5 days a week. 

Your Body, Your Call: No prescribed loading and it’s very rare we can’t or won’t substitute a movement or piece of equipment based on how you’re feeling and what you’re capable of on a given day. We guide you, but you’ve got the freedom to adjust based on what your body needs.

Support > Competition: Our vibe is supportive, not cutthroat. You’ll push hard, but it’s about your growth, not beating the person next to you.
