The Hunter is a 26-week cycle of two programs designed to prepare you for hunting in any condition, especially big game hunting in the mountains. You’ll do the following programs, in order:
Functional Strength – The only real type of strength there is for hunters – train inside to move outside. There is no vanity work here. Purpose and focus only.
Ultimate Predator – Bottom line is you need to be able to move over ground, cover elevation, and do it loaded, day in and day out. No program will prep you better.
Here’s what The Hunter will do for you:
Make the mountain fear your legs – not the other way around – Loaded, uphill, downhill, uneven footing. The mountains are as unforgiving as they are captivating. But the mountains will look upon you with fear as you handle everything they throw at you and more – and you’ll just keep going.
Prep your body and mind – planning your trip and prepping your rifle is only a small portion of the game. Mental fitness training is built in to this package. Stay as sharp on the last day as the first.
Any globo-gym or functional fitness place will work. If you’re training in your garage, you’ll need:
Tire to drag + harness
Basic soft tissue and mobility equipment
Running course of known distance.
