Neck Injury




This program is designed to allow athletes with a neck injury to continue training without further injuring themselves.  Every movement in this cycle will be done with the athlete’s neck in a neutral position, there should be no movement or strain to athlete’s neck.  If any exercise causes discomfort, the athlete should immediately stop and refrain from doing the exercise that caused the pain.  The loading will be heavy as possible (HAP) without causing pain or discomfort to the injured area.   This is a 6 week program with 3 scheduled sessions per week.  This cycle will hit on Lower and Upper Body Strength, Strength Endurance, Conditioning, Core, and Durability.  All loading should be based off of how the athlete feels, go as heavy as possible without causing discomfort to the injured area.
